Andrew brings a multi-disciplinary and collaborative approach to Digital Engineering and Advisory services, addressing the needs of his clients in the utilities, transportation, health and education sectors. During the past twenty-five years as a construction professional, Andrew has built strong and enduring relationships with clients, fellow consultants, and the wider construction supply chain to harness the value of digital asset information.

Andrew values honesty, integrity, and respects other people’s diverse points of view. Andrew encourages project participants to adopt a best for project approach when resolving challenging issues. During his time at Beca, he has collaborated with the wider business to develop a client-oriented digital engineering service. Recent digital engineering engagements have included the Auckland District Health Board, Watercare, Corrections and KiwiRail. In addition to helping clients understand their asset information requirements, Andrew is driving the development of collaborative digital engineering processes, leveraging the information workflows of ISO 19650 for the creation, management and validation of information across the asset lifecycle.

Andrew’s research within the BAC addresses key issues affecting the construction industry and broader transport sector such as productivity, sea-level rise, emission reduction and health and safety. Recent work has focused on championing industry leadership and the important role that long term Asset Owners can play to influence the uptake of Digital Asset Information, working with their partners to deliver structured and reliable information to support decision-making processes.
